150 hp on a 125 rating ??

how much of a concern is it to hang a 150 hp engine on a boat with a 125 hp rating ??

Same motor different carburation HOWEVER if your local Law enforcment comes around you might do it, unobserved, if you have a 125 engine cover on it. The difference in HP will make a minimal difference and use more fuel doing it .Motors weigh the same if of the same year or close to it.
