150 Johnson 1987 VRO to fuel pump

Does anyone know if there is a fuel pump that can replace the vro pump and are there any other items that need to be plugged, disconnected , removed
The pump is plugged at motor area ,plan to remove vro tank .If this is possible to change to a fuel pump what part number is it ? , do we need to get, install different bolts ?

Some will argue.-----One idea is to install a pair of pumps as found on a 1983 model.---Or the replacement ( non mixing ) for an 87 model.-----Or take your pump apart and see if there is something wrong with it.-----Finally what is your motor doing / not doing ?

Trying to eliminate issues with acceleration
found crack in choke valve replacement should be in Friday and upon further inspection possible cracking in plastic on Vro . Not sure if it’s an issue just looking forward to ask questions ahead of time .compression test is even on all 6 cylinders. When we restart motor I
will do a drop test, plugs look fine. ok I’ll let my son pull the wires I’ll watch .maybe the choke valve is the issue and vro is ok . time will tell .seems like lack of fuel or carbs not in sync ? timing .it’s a new project to replace boat hit by tree that boat still ok for now no leaks just a dent in rear gunnel broken seat and missing the indent for neutral shifter .sucks bc spent good amount of time and money on motor Thanks

I replaced the VRO pump on my 86 110hp Evinrude in May of 2018. Mounted straight to block. Haven't had any fuel delivery problems that I'm aware of. Took pics and can post them if you want to see.

Didn't have to do anything with the low oil alarm. Still wonder about that.

I used a Sierra 18-7352 pump, the gasket for pump, and a pipe plug kit from auto parts store. Forgot where I sourced the bolts. Premix fuel 50:1.

The V-6 motors used 2 pumps piped in series.

If motor will start and idle without problems or run at WOT the fuel pump is not the problem...

Fixed the problem it was the choke primer valve
Someone forced it to turn, cracked the Red valve

Now all the fun begins wheel bearings,brakes, tires,lights tweak all the teak ,some fiber glass and gel coat and all the other fun stuff anyone have proline parts
