My 1989 Johnson 150HP idles good but when I give it gas it stalls and wont come up on plane.
I put it in neutral, put up the warm-up lever for a minute, then it will run good the rest of the day. Sqeezing primer bulb does not help.
I have rebuilt the carbs, had two different power packs, replaced the timer base and stator.
These were replaced for a different problem but
the stalling continued thru it all.
Model J150STLCEM
Any suggestions?

If I'm not mistaken, that should have idle air jets to control the idle mixture. You need to get smaller jets to richen the mixture, I'd guess by another .002" to .003". If it used to be better, then all that would accomplish would be to compensate for another problem that would be better to find and correct. If it's always been a dog out of the hole, try changing those jets.
