I have a 20 foot scout with a 150 ox66. I love the performance of the motor just looking for something quiter and smoother and the ox66 still has some resale value. I use the boat mainly for skiing and such. Looking for people that have made a similar switch. Will the F150 pull up a slalom skier on a 2000lb boat plus engine weight. I've considered the F200 but man is it heavy and I like the performance of my current 150. Appreciate any thoughts.

Re: 150 ox66 to F150

the ox66 will give you better holeshot for sure. the f150 will work better under heavier loads, ie towing 5 tubes :p . the 2 outboards are identical in weight but the f150 will use less gas and is quieter and has no smoky mess. with the proper service the f150 will outlast the ox66 by far.<br />to overcome some holeshot issues, prop down when you are skiing but keep your wot rpm in mind so as not to overev.
