150 v6 steering problem.

just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the quick silver ride guide cable steering, i noticed yesturday when the engine is fully trimed out at wot the motor will move a good 2-3 inches either way when holding the steering wheel hard against the prop walk, this intern causing a very dangerous chine walk just wondering if you can adjust this out of the cable as all linkages on the engine are tight as they can be, or should i spend the money and get hydraulic steering?

Ride guide is old stuff and cable could be prone to complete failure and loss of control. Upgrade to a dual set up is best IMO for the V6, but a single no-feedback system would be superior to what you have now.
