Problem: After a good hot run, I shut down the engine and let stand for approx 10 minutes. Upon restart, the engine will spit repeatedly and eventually cut off.

Attempted solutions: Engine starts fine cold. Engine idles fine cold. Runs right up and screams across the water. Slow down, and it idles fine. Run it back up, and it screams across the water just fine. Slow back down, idles just fine. Cut it off at the pier or to drift fish for about 10 minutes, and upon restart, it will not idle. It starts to spit after 5-10 seconds, and then gets so bad that it eventually cuts off. I can tell the problem is fuel starvation, but have not been able to solve it. I have replaced or done all the following, without success in solving: replaced VRO pump, replaced computer, replaced rectifier, removed anti-siphon valve from onboard tank, replaced fuel/water separator, replaced fuel primer ball, isolated onboard tank by substituting 6 gal gas tank, adjusted main inlet fuel bowl float as it was out of spec, replaced engine fuel filter, replaced main fuel bowl cover as it appeared warped, enriched all 6 carburetors by 1/8 to ¼ of a turn. When the engine starts to miss-fire I can see the fuel level fall to half way or less through the white semi-transparent fuel filter housing. This leads to my determination that the engine is fuel starved. I can see that the fuel filter housing is full to the top when the engine is running fine. Not sure why the shutdown period causes the problem. While it is acting up, I can put it in gear and give it some throttle, and usually get up and run, then the problem disappears.
