150hp Evinrude Intruder Spark Plugs

Purchased a used 1995 150hp Oil Injected Evinrude. The book says it takes QL77JC4 spark plugs. I noticed that QL78YC spark plugs are in it now. Which one is best. Also, regular or premium gas?

HI Ranger354, The original number spark plug for your motor was QL77JC4. Later OMC changed the sparkplug to QL78YC. So you should be using the new number(QL78YC) As for the gas, Stay with the book, which states- Any regular unleaded, regular leaded, or premium unleaded gasoline having the recommended octan rating and NOT extended with alcohol. The minimum octane rating for your 150 is 87 "AKI" or 90 "RON"
