15hp evinrude fuel pump rebuild 87

I just got given a basket motor so im trying to decide on the best way to buy parts.

looks like im missing
carb choke bracket
air silencer
mix knob
fuel pump

now I have all the parts for the fuel pump but like I said there in a basket in pieces. If I buy a rebuild kit will it come with assembly instructions or would it be better to buy the complete pump. Also are ebay prices on the silencer ($30) the best place to buy or should I call a marine breakers yard

One of these is for pre-1987 fuel pums and the other is post-1987 pumps. Take a look at the first page and use the one that looks like yours.

Call 'em w/your model number and parts needed.. they'll have what you've listed (and a used fuel pump) for very reasonable.. and quick ship.

You can go to b o a t s dot net and look up the part numbers for what you need.

thanks for the link. I will go with the kit now I know how to put it together.
