Seems like to much pressure to get the motor in reverse, that is if it will go in reverse. Neutral, forward no problem. Its almost like the spring in the gearcase is to strong to move the shift cam into reverse. Feel like I'm going to bend or break the shift lever if I pull to hard. By hand with the lower unit off the motor I have to push down real hard to get it to click into reverse but it does and locks in. I inspected the gearcase and everything looked ok unless I missed something. Put it back together, new gear oil, and same thing. Motor is a15hp Force, 152Y9A, ser# 1335. I believe its a 1989. Any input would be appreciated.
