15hp Gale Missing

I have a Gale motor that has been running fine for the last two years, all of a sudden it is missing it will run fine for 20 seconds and then miss and then run again for 20 to 30 seconds and miss again.....What the heck is wrong?

I have put new fuel, and spark plugs in her but no change
Any help would be appreciated.

After reading some of the other post in this forurm I have resolved my issue sorry for posting without first trying to find the answer...lol

Reading between the lines, and guessing, the "miss" probably is more of a single, periodic "clunk". If so, that is a worn out clutch dog, and probably forward gear. It is coming out of gear, rotating one half revolution, and slamming back into gear. Very common, and will only get worse if you let it continue.

Watch or place your hand on the shift lever and see if I am guessing correct.

It depends on when this occurs.It could also be a lean sneeze.Usually occurs at lower speeds or at idle.Caused by poor fuel supply/dirty carb or depending on the year too lean mixture adjustment.

The motor is in neutral when it happens and seems to be more of an ignition problem than gear problem.I've ordered a carb kit and will install it when it arrives. I'll keep yopu posted than ks for the info

I took the fuel pump apart and found that the diaphram is way to flexible and worn out and has a hole in it. I ordered a whole new pump cause I was unable to fine just the diaphram.
