15hp merc waterpump

hi -<br />where is the water pump on a 15hp mercury. I am not too sure of the year but I think it's early 80's or late 70's<br /><br />i want to change the impeller on this motor, any suggestions?

It should be in the lower unit. Drop it, and it will be at the bottom of the drive shaft.
