15HP MERCURY TACH HELP
AT WITS END. Have a Merc control with the adapter cable for accessories. This has GRAY, BLK, VIOLET, LT TAN, and BROWN/WHITE STRIPE. MY TACH HAS BATTERY(+), COMMON (-) and SEND. NEED HELP ON WHAT COLORS GO WHERE. TRIED GRAY TO SEND, VIOLET TO BATTERY ( I GET SWITCHED 12 VDC HERE) and BLK TO BLK yet no TACH, setting is on 4P. I'm a guide in CANADA and any help to PAFISHINGUIDE@SGI.NET is very much appreciated.<br />I am confident the control wires from the Commnd 2000<br />are hooked up at the engine OK.
