My 15 horse Johnson was spitting fuel out the exhaust relief outlet as I was
squeezing the primer bulb. The motor did not run well at all so I gave up and pulled it out of the lake. what gives? Regards, Old Jim

OK Jim, here's a guess.....you're carbs float needle isn't sealing. Pumping the primer bulb forces fuel through carb, excess fuel is being blown out the exhaust. Another possibility, blown fuel pump diaphragm allowing fuel to flood one cylinder with the same result.
