16' Sea Nymph Fishing Machine - anyone know what year and model?

Can anyone tell me what the model number might be for this boat and what year it is?

That should be on the capacity plate ... is there not one on the boat? If not, there should be a HIN number for the year. May not have been a model number.

There should he a HIN tag on the left rear transom that has a vin on it, I trhink the last 2 are the year but that looks like an early 80s.

I have an '81 16 and it looks really similar, your consoel is duifferent and I don't have the chine on mine but other than that they look really similar, mine had been repainted before I got it and I have repainted it again 2-3 years ago so don't know what stock paint looked like.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't actually seen it in person, but the owner offered to sell it to me for $1100. The interior has been redone in the last couple of years, and I believe the boat may be early '80's. I also believe the motor is a 1985 Mariner 25hp two-stroke. Based on this info, do you guys think it's worth $1100? Thanks!

Might be, it's tough to tell from that photo. Trailer looks a little worn, and the hull looks like it might have taken a bit of a beating ... but it's a tinny, and they're pretty resilient. I've never owned a Mariner, but that one looks good. If you can get it on the water and find that it runs nice, it might well be worth the price.

She is definately due a coat of paint but that sounds like an okay price, as southkogs said it is a tinny so the hull will never rot and they do take a beating, I have bounced mine of a few stumps with no ill results.

They are rated for 70 so it won't be a speed demon by any means, I have a 50 on mine and it will go 27-30 so you can expect high teens to 20, mine si a great hull and it fishes really well.

I'd offer $750 or so cash and maybe you'll get lucky, or at least meet in the middle. As long as its not corroded or otherwise damaged, I'd think it'd be worth it. I bought a similar, early 80s Starcraft with a 70HP Mercury for 1200. Having some issues with the motor, but I'm still happy with the price I paid and the boat itself.

I paid $1100 for it, plus it came with a canoon downrigger and a bunch of accessories...I found out that it's an '88, and it has an '89 Mariner 25hp motor...Overall I'm happy with the price so far...I'm working on sanding it and will be repainting the boat and repainting the trailer as well...
