Re: 16' Starcraft (i think)

Welcome to iboats!

It's some sort of side console in need of a full rebuild, as well as a motor. However, you wouldn't have to worry about rotted stringers and deck; any rotten wood in the transom is easily replaced.

If the trailer is as advertised and the hull is straight, offer $350 and see what happens. Of course, you need to be good with your hands for this to make any sense.

Looks like it was a Mariner side console.

Re: 16' Starcraft (i think)

thanks for all the reply's. as per the first post back to me i am getting the trailer and boat for $350, i thought that was a pretty good deal for it. The boat itself is in great condition body and leak wise with no leaks. The trailer is in very good condition beside the paint on the front neck of it.

as for being handy, thats the reason im getting it. Im a pipe fitter and welder and handyman in just about anything :) im jsut hoping its not gonna kill the bank to do it up some as far as the inside goes. Paint i can get cheap as we have a paint booth and such at work were i cans spray it along with the trailer. But i have no clue were im gonna end up price wise with, carpet, linex lining for some of it, wood wont be to bad on the price but then livewells steering console steering wheel exc...

idk its ognna be fun and i want something i can make my own and be proud of it on the water!!! im realy excited lol

thanks again ya'll

Best thing you can do is to go to the Starcraft forum and post there. Tons of restoration threads and lots of help.
