I've read about the reverse cooling flow mod for the 165 Mercruiser Manifold so that fixes the manifold cracking problem.
I get that, and it seems like a great idea, but I have a nice running Straight six 250 160 Mercruiser with the multipiece aluminum manifold. Does this setup need the mod? Seems like it's survived ok since 1967, so in may not have the same issues.
Any thoughts?
