165 mercruiser trim

On my 1973 nineteen it has the 165
and the trim takes it sweet time going down but comes up with no issues.was wondering if anybody else has experinced this?

i think ya need to ask this question in the mercruiser forum. it's not AristoCraft specific...
so does it come down speedy when your out running around on the lake?
what happens when someone stands on it and ya try in?

i looked at the s/m trouble shooting guide. while there is no symptoms like yours, they did have......

will not release from full 'up' position. possible causes, valve body assembly inop, internal resistance in cylinders, internal cyl. leak.

or

will not return completely to 'down' position or returns part way with jerky motion... possible causes, air in system, internal cylinder leak(s), internal resistance in cylinders, hoses reversed on one cyl. only...
