17'4 sunbird 150 HP Marnier?

Do you think I will be ok installinga 150 Marinier Magn on a 17'4'' Sunbird Boat, it has a little cuddy...I also am going to put on a transom jack plate...
The boat has a 90 HP evenrude on it now..
I know I have to change the tack and speedo and controls to match that motor... I hope the tack sizes are the same...(OMC builds sunbird)
The 150 is currently on my 89 Marvac 16'5 bowrider, with the hydrolic jackplate...ITs a rocket...but not what I want..Its way too heavy for the boat..splash well fills with water just sitting...

Is there a capacity plate on the boat? It should say what the maximum HP is.

No need to change the speedo. It isn't attached to the motor. In fact the tach may work with the new motor also...if the wiring is correct.
