My 2000 Johnrude 175 seems to cold start well, but always idles rough. It often takes several starts before it will keep running. After is has warmed up, it will idle for a minute or so, but then starts spitting and sputtering, before it finally dies. I have changed the plugs (which were not in bad shape) and my gut tells me it is some sort of fuel problem and not the ignition. It has fresh premium gas, and I have run a can of SeaFoam through the last tank of gas. It seemed to run a little better, but is still not right, and the engine will not settle down in a no-wake zone or for trolling. Any suggestions?
