hey..<br /> i got a 18' chaperelle and the engine cowl (inboard/outboard) is getting a weatherd and cracking. i was wonder about removing all the foam and fabric and covering the plywood with fiberglass. what is the best way of doing this??<br /> should i make a new engine cover??<br /> i've played with fiberglass on dirtbikes and such, so i have a little expereance with it.

Build a new one out of treated plywood,then recover.By fiberglassing the old one,with in a couple years the wood will complety rot out and you will be doing it again.

Should i use a thicker plywood?? also should i cover both sides with fiber glass?
