18 foot mitchell

I dont know if i am posting this in the right place or not, but i am purchasing an 18 foot mitchell vhull, and it doesnt have an engine on it. I have a 115 hp evinrude already. But i also can get my hands on a 150 evinrude. Would the 115 be enough to get me out of bad weather if it comes. Or should i just get the 150 and call it a day. Also does anybody know what the max hp of this boat it?

we had a 19 foot cobia, which was comparable to an 18 mitchell, 115 made a great ski boat.

What kind of speed did yall have? Im going to be in the chesapeak bay area. And i know the water can get pretty rough up there. How did yalls boat ride in rough water?
