I need the correct part number for a 1960 Johnson 18hp armature plate. My bushing has spun and the plate moves side to side quite badly. I found one on ebay with all the electronics but the plate doesn't match the part number on the plate I have now. My plate reads 580210 but the plate on ebay reads 580360, or Johnson part number 580270. Will this suffice? Also what are the part numbers or where can I find the two brass clips that hold the throttle lever down to the electic starter bracket or the plate that replaces the starter bracket?

Also need part numbers for throttle arm and nylon key as both have worn and there is slop in the tiller.

All of those part numbers are available at http://shop.evinrude.com/

Actually, there are only a few unique armature plates, with a bunch of part numbers. You will find that the differences are usually a screw hole that may or may not be drilled and tapped on the bottom. If it "looks" right and has the groove around the outer rim, it probably will work, even if you have to drill and tap a hole.

Can I get a head gasket from the same website? I assume the powerheads are the same from '60 to '68?
