18 HP EV. UPPER CRANK SEAL?

Ok I have the cam out and am looking at upper cylinder crank seal how do you get the seal out w/o splitting the crankcase or pulling/ destroying the seal so they can't match the part? '65 18 hp ev 18502 fastwin.

Hey skunked.....<br /><br />What I used to do (before I got the removal tool) was drill two small holes in the metal part of the seal opposite each other. Screw in two small panhead screws and use the screw heads to pry the seal out with a screw driver. Don't worry about messing it up. Just take the model number to your Johnny/Rude dealer and he can find the part number ya need.
