Have a '98 1802 that my wife and I camp on during weekends. I am looking at installing some storage compartments such as a drawer type made by Teak Isle in the area below each of the bunks in the cuddy. There are some storage areas with lids on them from the factory, however space is at a premium on the boat, so I was thinking of using this dead area to pick up some storage to get rid of some of the containers we often take with us. These would be just aft of where the porta potty is. Has anyone done this? Also looking to do a small storage hatch above each of the battery storage compartments at the transom.

Re: 1802 Storage

I also have the 1802 . I think it is a great boat for fishing and the cabin is a good lockup for your fishing equipment. But to gain extra storage space from a 18 ft boat is tough. Bayliner designed just about all the useable space. So my advice would be to get a larger boat
