185 Johnson

Can anyone tell me about the 185 Johnson and what year(s) it was manufactured? Did they have any serious problems with this motor and if so, what were they? I am considering buying one and I don't want to buy a type of motor that is a defect. Your replies are appreciated.

IF you get the model number and serial number someone will tell you what year it is. I have always found johnson/evinrude very good dependable engines. I have never had one over 65 h.p. though.
