1851 CC (replacing livewell pump)

Has anyone replaced a livewell pump for a 1851CC? The pump, when turned on, just makes noise but doesn't pump water into the livebait well. I've checked hoses for any clogs and all hoses seem clear. As a matter of fact, when I'm running, the livebait well fills with water (which leads me to believe their are no clogs in the hose). The pump is a shurflo and I can't figure out how to remove it to do further troubleshooting. Does is screw off? Appreciate any feedback.

it should just snap into it's little pickup basket. Unsnap it, turn it over and turn it on, if it hums and doesn't run then it's shot, I replace mine every few years.
