18hp Evinrude, What year is it?

I have just bought a used 18hp Evinrude from the 60's and the previous owner thought it was a 65 to 68 but not sure. The Serial number is 18002E E04850. Would be very greatfull to anyone who could help me out by telling me what year it actually is.<br />Thanks<br />John

your 18 hp. evinrude is a 1970.

Thank's for information and the quick response. I am going to rebuild the carb and would have bought the wrong kit.
