I have a 18hp johnson outboard model number fd-16 that i just replaced the coils, condensors and points, after the project i noticed that when i pull the motor over the timer base moves and lowers the throttle back down to idle!!!! How can i correct the problem? is there a way to tighten the timer base?

You said it all...you replaced the coils. Now go back in and adjust the air gap. The laminated core ends must be adjusted so they are flush with the machined posts that they sit on. Yours are dragging on the flywheel magnets.
