My 2008 Doral Sunquest with Suzuki DF90 runs 36 miles per hour (GPS), C/W 19 prop and trimmed for max speed. Motor is revving 5000 rpm. Suzuki says WOT 5500 rpm. I am wondering if I should try a 17 pitch?

I am considering a four blade prop and I am looking for the pros and cons of doing that. Stabilizer is at maximum starboard and I am still getting a lot of starboard torque steer.

Once this boat is properly trimmed out at max speed it drives itself in a straight line with almost zero input at the steering.

Thanks for your responses. Always enjoy the feedback I get here and the amount of knowledge in this forum is awesome.\

If you move to a 17p 4 blade you are going to get about the same exact performance as you would out of the 19p 3 blade. On avg for every 2" drop you make in pitch you will gain around 400rpm. So I say move to the 17p 3 blade or an even lower pitch 4 blade(16p probably). The gain in rpm will almost offset the pitch difference on top end speed.
