Hi Folks

I just sold my 4 stroke nissan 4hp (just to slow) and I'm looking at a 1990 25 hp Evinrude short shaft elec. start. He says he can run it and I will do a compression test. Sooo .... if all test out good, what would be a fair price for this motor. I plan to put it on my 14" jon flat bottom boat. Transom says got to 25 hp.

Thanks

Hard question. Any motor is worth what the customer is willing to pay. Around here (Vermont), a 24 year old 25hp Evinrude is worth about $600 if it hasn't been beat.

Thats what I was thinking. Not many 15 - 25 hp for sale in the KC area. Lowest I've seen for a 15hp is $600. So I guess I gotta suck it up and pay the $$$$ to get what I want.

Thanks

i have seen those go for big $$ out west. 1500 or so in good shape 700-900 average 300 or so for a parts motor. highly sought after motor. most tinny's are rated at 25 max and have short transoms. yeah we have a butt load of tin boats out here.
