You can have the boat, I'm more interested in those engines.
V16's weighing in less than Packard V12's!
6k RPM's!
Yeah baby!
Brute force, just don't make 'em like that anymore.

They look cute.

But todays "crate" engines will leave them at the starting line. I happen to love old racing boats & engines with 12 or more cylinders.
The vertical pipes do look serious.

Best place for the boat is in a museum with wealthy members. Hopefully allowing the public to see it & photograph it from a raised viewing deck.

The USA does not have a ton of memoribila available to the public from that era of time.

I've seen a "Baby Gar" go for 250k not too long ago. Although rare, this is much more so. I would think this could go for somewhere around 400 - 450. A Mecum auction isn't exactly known for boats. Who knows how many serious collectors will be bidding. Guess we won't know for sure until the 28th.

Pass. Old boat = rotted stringers and transom automatically. No hull numbers= no title so it will be hell to get it registered. Rope steering. No sea trial, no deal. No sun deck over the motors. No smart tabs. Hull looks like it would beat you to death in chop. No place for the stereo. 3 axle trailer will be hard to park at the public ramp on Satudays. Much rather have a bayliner I/O bowrider.

250K is a steal for a baby gar!

If you like old wooden boats then check out Welaka Wooden Boat Shop and Maritime Museum in Welaka, Fl. on the St Johns River, about 90 miles South of Jacksonville...they've got lots to see and a real wooden boat rebuilding business there for folks with lots of $$$$$!

The Antique boat museum In Clayton NY Has some amazing boats and their annual show is special.
From a dugout to a 40ft runabout.St Lawrence sailing skiffs that operate without a rudder.
If you look carefully the still of the Miss America X near the end of the video has 4 engines!
There are probably better pictures on the net somewhere.
