Hello all so I was lucky and picked up a old outboard from an auction for $30. I have put some time into it cleaning and what not and decided to try and get it to turn over. Well good news she starts and runs. I took the lower end apart due to the motor running rough and it being such an old motor. Well needless to say it was really bad a gummed up inside. Right now I have the parts soaking in a cleaner. My question is what is the best way to clean the shaft between the motor and lower unit? Also what lower unit oil do I use? And finally last one, Where do I get a new shear pin for the prop?
