1934 J 70 stuck piston advice worked!

The advice provided by chinewalker and rogersjetboats worked great. soaked cylinder in ATF and acetone for a week, then I built the puller roger showed, cost for puller was $4. I think I can free up the rings by soaking more, should I use my solution or something else like fuel injector cleaner or heet? not heat.

Awesome! I use Seafoam or OMC Engine Tuner to free up the rings. Works the best for me.

I took High Trim's suggestion and soaked the piston in seafoam overnight. piston looked good but rings were still stuck in a couple of spots. So I boiled some water and let it soak for awhile. That did the trick! There is still some carbon on one of the rings but think it will come off using a brass brush. next on the project is getting the flywheel off. thanks again to High Trim!
