Just acquired this little gem...seems to be missing a few pieces that might be kinda hard to find.

Anyone have an idea when serial #09163 was made, and, where I might find a parts breakdown to isolate missing parts?

Thanks in advance.

Peter Hunn's "The Old Outboard Book" would break it down by year if possible. I checked and it doesn't. Remember, those years were followed by WWII, when civilian outboard production stopped. I doubt they made much of an effort to keep them separate.

I have the parts book. It's only 4 pages and not very user-friendly. Send me a PM with your e-mail address. Remind me in the PM what you are looking for.

While there isn't much of a difference at all between years, I would hazard an educated guess that you have a late 1940 or 1941 (I would guess 1941). They didn't make a whole lot of them, so by 9xxx it would be near the end of the run.

For example the similar vintage 4265 Ranger 1.1hp made '39 to '41 serial number 1 to 4000 was '39, 4001 to 5500 was 1940, and 5501 and up was 1941
