1940 Plymouth Pickup Flathead and Trans (One of only about 3,000 made)

"Z"ing the frame. using the rest of the Toyota frame pieces, but cut and turned over for a foundation to build a bed on it.

Testing the feel for Original Grill. wasn't likin the was it was too skinny at the bottom.

so after making a few more calls, and trying to round up another option for a grill, my father in law calls me and tells me to check out his..

AWESOME!! it's a grill off of a 1937-1939 Ford 8N tractor!!!! Perfect!! now I gotta weld it together, and cut most of the back off.

Looks like a fun project. The more "different", the better.

One of my early projects was a '38 Fiat Topolino powered by a '47 Crosley 750cc. (the original engine was 500cc).

Thank you guys!!! That's the same thing I think everytime I open a thread here.

I hope to get my '59 TexMaid in the same kinda color, and maybe be able to tow it with this truck.. the boat and trailer are super light, so weight won't be an issue. :)

1939 Chevy truck cab ratrods seem to be popular.

ive never seen a whitewall mud tire.are they painted white?

Nice looking.. Not my cup of tea, but I like the work...

I'm more of an original kinda person. Would love to see that '39 back to the way it was.

My buddy has an old Mercury. Not sure of the year. Older 6volt system if that helps. But he's rat rodding the thing out... I just shake my head. That car is in beautiful shape. Needs paint, brakes and engine work (Original engine).

I really like the tractor grill.I would love to see the finished project.the toyota frame is cool also and strong.I have had an 84 toyo4x4 since 85.great truck and really tuff for a mini.its been wrecked several times and rebuilt again never any frame damage.are you building that motor or one w/ two heads??I think a ford flathead v8 would look good peaking out from the hood!!and your gonna "need more cowbell"!!!Great rat truck w any motor.

Are you sticking with the 6 cylinder? Don't go SBC or SBF on it.....love 'em but they have been beat to death out there.
What about a overhead cam mid-60's pontiac? or an older Straight 8?
Regardless, we want to see more.
