This prop is 10" in diameter and a low pitch, labelled AMC 411.

Any idea what it fits and what it's main purpose would be with 4 blades?

It is a Michigan Wheel 11x10 to fit 1958-61 35-40 hp Elgin/West Bend/Firestone outboards.

Dang,

I need something along the lines of a 13 - 17 pitch for my 1959 50HP V-4.

This 12.5 x 17 looks like it might fit my fat fifty - any ideas?

Re: 1950's - 60's prop ID

I'm trying to find a suitable prop for my 1959 Johnson fat fifty V-4.

The first pic is a 1960's 75HP V-4 - not sure what pitch.

The second is a 1959 E-rude Starflite 50HP - not sure of pitch.

The third is a 1960's 80HP V-4 with no indication of pitch.

Should the pitch be stamped in actual number or a code that needs to be deciphered?

Will all of these or any of these fit?

Thanks for any info!

Re: 1950's - 60's prop ID

This is not my strong suit, but my quick research would suggest that the 75 and 80 hp props are somewhere in the neighbourhood of 10x12 (there are a million of them). The 1959 50 hp would obviously fit, but there are lots of pitch options. Most are around 12x14 where 12x17 seems to be the max.

I would expect that someone could tell you about the prop from its stamped code. I only have access to the Michigan Wheel database.

I just realised - You've posted this in the wrong forum. I can't believe this thread hasn't been moved to the prop section, yet.

The first pic in the series of three is labelled '307318' - does that mean anything to anyone?

That's an OMC part number for a 1960ish 75 hp. Appears to be about 10x13.
