Hello guys. I think some of you have seen me as lbentz on this site in the recent past. It was after I initially signed up, that I thought of a better name, so I re-registered under this new name tonight.
Just an FYI, my very first outboard was/is an 1946 Evinrude Zephyr and is number 00066 of the 4404 model series. This was the culprit that got me started with outboard mechanics and restoration. It still is in my posession and likely will for years to come.
I believe that I can offer you guys here a lot of help and advice, because I've been around lots of interesting stuff dealing with this. I'll admit, there may be times that my info may not be 100% acurate, but I hope you'll be forgiving. A lot of info on different motor models has slipped my mind, but I have dealt with a lot of stuff that the dealors would not even touch and laughed at. Some stuff I've worked on, the dealors haven't even heard of.
So, I hope I can be of help to you.
