Have a black sort of muck tracks in streaks coming down engine sides from under flywheel. My guess is melted coil material?

Also could be a blow upper crankcase seal,if they leak you'll have oily dark residue underneath the flywheel,and on the armature plate

Thankyou Sir. Going to try and pull that flywheel today and see what’s up.

Your welcome,look around the bottom of the crankshaft, around the armature plate mounting fixture,see if it's wet or oily looking

Good guess on the coils. They were noted for that.
