Hello All

I am new to the forum and need some help. I recently traded for a 1950 Sea Nymph by Tubbs Craft and can't find any information about it.
can anyone help me out. I would like to redo it some what original. The only thing it needs is the wood replaced but i can't find anything on what it originally came with. What kind and size of motor did it use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Rabbit. Welcome to Iboats. Unfortunately, you may have trouble finding any reliable info on a boat that old. There were literally 100's of small boat builders back then. Most boats weren't required to have any sort of hull ID until the mid 1970's. Your best bet is going to be fiberglassics.com, they have tons of catalogs, brochures and info on all sorts of old boats. You may want to try contacting Sea Nymph too. A few pics posted here may help someone help you ID her too. In any event, you're in the right place for anything boat/motor/trailer related. Good luck. Keep us posted......

Sea Nymph was a major manufacturer of aluminum boats. In this case it appears it's just a model name. This one is definitely going to be tough to research and identify.

I have heard of Sea-Nymph but never Tubbs Craft, not sure if Sea Nymph has been around since the 50 but it is certainly possible, they were a local company to me out of Syracuse Indiana.

Unfortunatly they went under with OMC, they were one of the boat companies that OMC bought in the 80s and ran into the ground so they haven't made any baots since @2001ish.

Unless there si a large following like Starcraft you probably won't find anything on the internet.

Tubbs-Craft was the maker it was sold by Sears I was told before. Sea Nymph is just the model.

Well I replaced all the wood added a 7.5 Mercury which I would love to replace with a 20 or 25 hp. I took it out a couple of times and it still seeps a little water but nothing major. Hooked up a fish finder and lights and I'm ready to go fishing.
