I have a Sears and Roebuck Elgin 7.5hp that I believe to be a 1951 or 1952 according to the Model# 571.58751. I have not been able to find aserial number chart to see if I can get it down to the exact year. Does this exist for this outboard or is it not that much of a matter and the parts are interchangeable between the years? Thanks in advance. Jesse

The chart at Discount Marine lists it both as a 1951 and 1952. I don't think Sears made any effort to keep them separate by serial number in their warehouses. As for parts, as long as you order for the model number 571-58751 you will be OK.
