I have a 52 or 53 Johnson 5 horse and it runs but not the way it should. Could someone direct me to a link to get a carb kit.

What is it doing by the way?

Regarding the carb, there is no real kit that you can purchase. If the float is damaged, you have to make your own. If the leather washers in the primer are worn and leak fuel while priming, there is an aomci member that sells them, check the link below for help with this job. Very detailed link. Good luck.

I would try Sea-Way Marine. They have a pretty good supply of parts for that motor. I bought all the innards for my HD-20 and it's more than 10 years older than yours. Parts will likely need to be purchased individually, so obtaining a parts diagram would be essential.
