1953 15hp 15012 - Interchangeable Parts

I have a 1953 15hp Evinrude I'm working on getting running.

I have to find and buy several replacement parts. Anyone know what years the parts are interchangeable?

Well, that is impossible to answer without knowing what specific parts you need. Some may have been used for twenty years, some for two. Come back with more info and we can be of more help.

K. I need the silencer and impeller at this point.

The impeller would be silly to buy used, so just buy a new one.

The silencers upper half is part number 203352, and the lower half part number is 203353

You then compare that part number to the part numbers of the motor in question.

There are some motors, lets use the '55 15hp Evinrude as an example, where the top half will fit, but the bottom half is different.
