A sweet little motor.I think you should run it deeper in the water to be sure it
cools well.When I run my motors I usually put the can up against the mounting bracket and fill it to the top.Like it would be on a boat at rest.
I'd like to here how it pushes a boat.They have a reputation for speed.

He's got it deep enough...that one has a pump/impeller lower down that similar OMC's. Glad you got it sorted out Freddy. I've redone a couple of those, sold both, and wished many times that I had kept at least one of them. Got a Mark 7 Rocket in the shop that will get finished up this summer.

the impeller on that is right behind the prop and the intake is below that so they don't need to run deep. You can get them up higher for speed.
