i am having trouble finding the 3 little springs that connect to the pawls which is part of the recoil assembly on top of the motor. Any link or direction would be appreciated. I have been told that they are available through OMC but unable to locate the right part.
Thank,
James

Any Evinrude or Johnson dealer can get those springs. They are part number 202155. But....you will be shocked to find out that they are $15.83 each!!!

Yikes. That's outrageous. From the photo, they're just light coil springs. If a guy had one, he could probably head for the local ACE hardware store and look in their spring box. I couldn't see anything special about them in the photo.

Maybe $1.00 apiece.

Ouch that is expensive. I will try to improvise and make something work. Thought about a ink pen spring.

Thanks a bunch guys.

You can improvise...tension is the main thing.

Can you help me locate a set of piston rings and any new carb parts that may be available for the above MW engine. It is a 2 cylinder 2 stroke 5 HP I believe,l 2 years ago it ran fine now it wont pull gas through the carb. It will run fine if you put gas in the spark plig holes or directly into the carb throat. Please help my little boat that could needs its power back

One, make a new thread for you motor and two sounds like you have a clogged fuel line/filter from the tank to the carb.
