Added a 1953 or 54? rd-15 Johnson seahorse 25hp. I can't find a single parts diagram online for one, or even anyone who sells parts. Robbed a donor motor for ignition coils and I had condensers sitting on my shelf from another pre 60's Johnson build and fudged my way through the carb being careful of old gaskets (only had to make one out of gasket paper), but I can not find an impeller! I ran her for about 5 seconds in a barrel but shut it down because of no water flow.
anyone got advice on where the heck to get impellers, or someone know what else will work?
It is the old, old, oooooooold style with no water tube going to the pump housing. The water diverts around the side and to a tube cast into the housing. Which means that the other seahorse impellers any later than this one will not work. (different size shaft)
I think this one will be a runner. ORIGINAL OWNER said he only remembers having it out a handful of times. Under 10 hours on the motor for sure. everything under cowl is brand new shiny. None of the bolts even have mar marks on them from being taken off, etc. Cowl and outside is pretty dull, but due to sitting in the rafters of his garage for 60 some years
can post pics if anyone is interested in my little build
