I just came into possession of this 1954 Scott-Atwater Bail-o-matic 10 hp that has been sitting in an open shed for 30+ years and I can't resist the challenge. Amazingly, the engine is not seized so I pulled the plugs and soaked the cylinders with Seafoam for a while then blew them out with compressed air. Compression test shows 75 psi on both cylinders and the plugs both look quite clean. Both sets of points were corroded but after some work they cleaned up decently and I am getting fire to both plugs. The pull start recoil was gummed up with hardened grease and in need of some components which I was able to fabricate so that is working good now. The throttle handle was seized but I dis-assembled it and did the necessary repairs so I'm making progress.

Next on my list is the carburetor, fuel pump, gas lines, water pump and lower unit. I haven't been able to locate any parts for this particular model and would appreciate any leads anyone can give me. My real concerns are the fuel pump and water pump impeller.
