I got give to me a 1955 Scott Atwater for my little boat and it doesn't have spark in either cylinders that noticed? Could this be a coil or condenser?

Yes, it could be either. More than likely, it's coils AND condenser. Most of the Wico coils from that era are cracked and no good. Some folks have had success adapting Johnrude or lawnmower coils to the laminates and replacing the old condensers with a modern equivalent (same mf reading)...

You may have gotten lucky. 1955 should have the orange shellaced coils, which are almost bulletproof. But the breaker points are notorious for getting a moldy-looking corrosion on them. Take the points apart and polish each contact individually with some 400 grit waterproof sandpaper. Put it back together and set the points to open .020" at their widest opening. I'll bet you will have spark.
