I have a 56 15hp johnson, only getting spark on one wire, does anyone know how i change the coil, or wire i guess if its not the coil?

Thanks
Welcome to iboats.

The coils, points, and condensers are under the flywheel. To remove that, you'll need a flywheel puller. Inexpensive steering wheel pullers work okay. Or you might get a dealer to pop it off for a minimal charge. When you put everything back together, it's real important to torque the flywheel nut to the proper torque.

A lot of public libraries have outboard manuals near the car manuals. You might want to check yours. Check the coils for cracks and burn holes. Check the wires as well. If you replace the coils, put new wires in too. Points can be dressed and condensers don't really fail too often. Replacement coils aren't terrbly expensive, about $50 for the pair. Most electronic ignition parts are way more expensive.
