Hello, looking for a clutch dog for my RD18 E (1956) 30 Hp Johnson motor. Have tried the Marine Eng. site, they do not go back far enough with out a part number.Where might I find Info. on Parts both numbers & purchase ? Thank You in advance.

They've got 8 in stock for $60 bucks each...ouch. Might try and find used??

Yeah, ebay might have some NOS for less too. Although, $60 for a brand new clutch dog isn't all that bad (or good). I seem to remember one for my'61 10hp being like $120 :/ This link should help with any future part numbers you may need. It's for the same year/model of your motor minus the electric starter, but is otherwise the same. Hope it helps. Keep us posted.

You can also reverse your exhisting clutch dog and get some more years out of it.

hank`s Captain Zepher,Currently on my 2nd clutch dog,Original had been reversed by previous owner. Can reverse this one. Did not have manule 1st time I did the job, Have since gotten one. Found out that possible cause is that it needs to be properly shimmed. Do not have it torn down at this time, and have misplaced manule.so far have not located the speghetti seal (PN 302604),probably take it to NAPA parts and try to match it up. Was getting water in/mixed in the gear case,any ideal what was causing that ? Sure do miss that manule! Well Thank`s Again!

$60 is pretty cheap for a clutch dog! I have the manual in pdf if you want it. If yes, pm me your email and model #.

Yes Sir, I Think $60.00 is a fair price for the clutch dog. I could use the Manule forMod#RD18E It seems that Mine has grown legs and left home! Thank You. E-Mail Address is twizzler1498@yahoo.com
