Anyone know the size or part number of the propeller shear pin for a 1956 RD-18?

Thanks!

Depends on which prop and nut you have. Measure the inside of the nut where the pin goes.

Part number 302566 is 1/4" x 1 1/8" Naval Bronze
Part number 304575 is 1/4" x 1 15/32" Stainless Steel

I found the old one in my parts box. It appears to be stainless 1/4".

I'd think that would be tough to "shear".

Thanks for the help!

It is not supposed to shear. It is called a drive pin. The rubber hub in the propeller takes care of the impact from grinding up rocks.
